1) How to write a scientific lab report

a. Pay attention to experimental design
most importantly - attention to detail

b. Know how to determine Uncertainties


c. Data analysis, preparation and interpretation of graphs and tables.


d. Experience with spreadsheets and descriptive statistics

e. Find and use the primary literature, not textbooks, encyclopedias, or
on-line sources

2) Wet lab skills necessary for success

Basic skills:

Know how to determine Uncertainties

pipetting

weighing

microscopy

3) Study skills necessary for success

a. Ability to make connections between concepts


b. Studying for understanding, not facts


c. Ability to apply concepts to new situations.
