Welcome 7th graders to Young Junior High. You will need to bring supplies everyday to class to be prepared for all assignments. (paper, pens, pencils, map pencils, spiral, pocket folder for homework, red grading pen and your big notebook.

Tuesday..........March 2..........Foldable comparing Houston, Lamar and Jones as Presidents of the Republic of Texas.  List name, date, Capitol site, problems and accomplishments.

Wednesday.........March 3..........TAKS  WRITING  untill 12:00     Grade ch 8 test in the afternoon.  Finish foldable.

Thursday..........March 4...........Turn in foldable.  Discuss Houston and Lamar. Write a campaign speech for one of the presidents of the Republic. Include the problems of the country and how you would fix them and why someone should vote for you.  Define the 14 vocabulary words from ch. 9 and write the definition in your spiral.   Use 7 of the words in your speech.  Highlight the words used.

Friday..........March 5..........Finish speech.  Design a bumper sticker for the president you picked.
