BOOK: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND: When We're in Public, Pretend You Don't Know Me by Susan Borowitz. The subtitle is: Surviving Your Daughter's Adolescence So You Don't Look Like an Idiot and She Still Talks to You..
I wish the book had been written when my daughter was in junior high. I think it would have eliminated several very loud interactions. It is an easy read and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny. I bet you will swear that in at least one example (maybe more) someone was secretly taping you and your child.
Understanding the individual is the key to being able to control the individual.
I have never raised a boy, but I have taught them; so I think the parents of boys would also benefit from this book.
It is a paperback book by Warner Books --- $12.95.
